Hiking along the natural as well as interpretative trails in Northern California is a thrilling experience. The San Francisco Bay Area has numerous trails to viewpoints, mountain summits, backcountry treks, natural walks and so on. There are many good places for an adventurous weekend getaway. You will be traversing through the redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountain or taking a horse back riding in the half moon bay and enjoying the gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean.
The NUAABA provide the opportunity for our friends at the Bay Area to organize their hiking activities, share hiking experiences and tips. To use this service, registered members can post their hiking plans, including the name and place of the trails, time to start and end, trail length and difficulty and car pool information etc. at our website. Interested members can then join the hiking, relax and have a good time meeting old and new friends.
The NUAABA plans to organize several hiking groups to meet different needs, such as time, age, exercise intensity, etc. If you are interested in hiking, please contact us, we will have several NUAABA members to organize and coordinate hiking or camping activity, and provide necessary helps to our participants.
Although hiking can be more often, say on a weekly based, we are also planning a campaing trip to American River (see links on left column). It is a beautiful area near Aubum State Recreation Area, which is 20 miles long on two forks of the American River, situated south of Interstate 80, stretching from Auburn to Colfax. The main access is from Auburn, either on Highway 49 or the Auburn-Foresthill Road. Hiking and white water rafting are most popular activities, and they are suitable for family outtings.
If you are interested, please contact NUAABA board (see contact info of the website) and we will take care of you and your family.
