Event Description:
Most overseas Chinese American professionals coming from mainland
China or elsewhere belong to an elite group of selected candidates
and, while aspiring for business success, usually have limited
resources (times and capital and location constraint) in executing
entrepreneurship and building wealth. While a small percentage of
overseas returnees' (Haiguis) success startup stories in China reveals
a promising aspect for late-comers, the majority still faces severe
challenges to become financially successful. Based on updated info,
what are viable business models for high-tech startups in China? How
can we benefit from China's economic uprise? Besides, for most
overseas Chinese American professionals who have settled down in the
US, what potential entrepreneurial opportunities display feasibility
for us to explore or pursue in local business or Sino-US businesses?
The speaker, with a dozen years of professional and business
experience, will share with the audience his observations, reflections
and efforts towards entrepreneurship and wealth building.
Topics include:
Dilemma and Challenges for Overseas Chinese American Professionals:
Life-Style Entrepreneurship;
Overview and Business Model Analysis of Overseas Chinese Returnees'
Startups in China: First- and Second-Generation High-Tech Startups ,
"Three Ben" -- Business Success Keys by Taiwan Businesses in mainland;
Exploring Entrepreneurship in Sino-US Businesses: Information
Asymmetry, Software/Pharm Outsourcing, Technology Transfer,
Import/Export, RMB Appreciation/USD Depreciation;
Riding the Uprise & Boom of China's Economy: Real Estate, Stock Market, etc.;
Entrepreneurship and Wealth Building in the US: Warren Buffet as Role
Model, Stock Market, Real Estate Foreclosure, etc. ;
