亲爱的南大美国校友:
5月12日，祖国四川省发生了7.9级的强地震，已有近万人丧生，仍有很多掩埋在废墟下的生命危在旦夕。房屋倒塌，山体滑坡，交通阻断，无数家园瞬间化为断壁残垣，人民生命财产损失严重。随着救援搜寻工作的展开，地震伤亡人数仍在不断上升。
作为远在海外的南大校友，虽不能亲临救灾现场，我们对地震的死难同胞表示沉痛哀悼，对受灾同胞深表同情。南京大学美国校友总会特此呼吁南大美国校友行动起来，为地震灾区人民踊跃捐款，为赈灾工作贡献一份绵薄之力。
不论是 $20, $200还是 $2000, 每一份捐款都海外南大校友心系祖国、爱我中华的体现。让我们立即化爱心为行动！

Dear Nanda Alumni,

Nearly 10,000 people have been killed by the 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Sichuan province in China on May 12. The toll is expected to keep rising as bodies are pulled from schools, homes and factories.

As overseas Chinese, we feel deeply sorry for our fellow people who are suffering from the disaster. Nanjing University Alumni Association in US calls for donations to help on the relief efforts -- to help the victims and their families to quickly recover from the wounds and losses, physically and emotionally.
